Nordhavn Hull N8001 Arrives In The United States

The first hull in the new Nordhavn N80 has arrived stateside on the Florida panhandle in Port Everglades. The vessel was shipped from the factory to the U.S to prepare it for the upcoming FLIBS. She will be available for inspection at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, October 27-31. Nordhavn posted on July 1st that the yacht was being loaded on a freighter bound for the U.S. Below you see her being offloaded from the freighter.

Despite the model name being N80, the yacht is actually 78.8-feet in reality overall length. The displacement sits at around 280,358 lbs and this is good being she is built like all Nordhavns to be a blue-water boat. In fact, the N80 has ocean crossing range at about 9-knots. The N80 is now in a sweet spot and offers more choice to buyers who otherwise might have gone with an N86 or an N76 There is a definitive difference in the mood of the N80 compared to the other Nordhavns. Chief of Design Jeff Leishman has deliberately injected a modern sensibility into the latest collection of designs as we enter a new decade of yachting, which is realized in the exterior styling, the interior detailing and the on-board conveniences of the N80. Look out for N8001 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Sow in late October to see her up close and personal.
