  1. Alia Yachts 55-meter Build "Al Waab II"
"Al Waab II" should be the name of the 55-meter superyacht presently under construction in Turkey at Alia Yachts. The latest images show the superstructure being joined to the hull -last month- marking a pivotal point in construction with the yacht expected to launch in perhaps in early 2021 with delivery by Summer 2021.
  2. One of the unique features about the interior onboard is the master suite which will be a split-level master on the upper deck -master bedroom on the forward upper-most level with forward views and the bathroom and dressing region on the main area below. There will be five other cabins for guests bringing the total berthing for twelve guests.
  3. The design is a collaboration between the yard and Vripack with Vripack contributing all-around with exterior, interior and Naval Architectural inputs. The brief was simple but yet profound. A home away from home that was comfortable, luxurious and had decent space. In fact, they wanted the vessel as spacious as possible while keeping the internal volume under 500GT - on a 55-meter yacht-. The views out from the interior are good thanks to near full-height window aided by glass exterior bulwarks outside of prominent high-use areas like the main saloon.
  4. The public spaces onboard are indeed spacious and luxuriously appointed sure to make comfortable spaces to enjoy. The colour palette is also subdued but with the dazzling 'movement' of the wood details and trim in the ceiling it adds alternate dimension to what might have been a very sandy-feel to the interior. Some colour is also introduced with accent pieces such as throw cushions.
  5. Al Waab II's construction is in steel and aluminum and is expected to complete for next year is the total package for its owner. Some standout features that are noticeable at this stage include an elongated swim platform on the transom which was done to allow guests to relax even closer to the water. In the renderings the idea is being conveyed through the use of sun lounges and loose external furniture pieces. There is a bit of an indoor aspect to the beachclub as well. The hull in this area is fitted with windows to provide further connection to the sea while maintaining a bit of privacy from viewers on that angle. Tender storage is on the bow while the vessel's lone jacuzzi/pool feature is nestled forward also on the bow.
  6. The sundeck appears to be expansive with plenty real-estate given to relaxation. Sunpads, loungers, al fresco dining, a bar all can be found on this deck. The central part of the deck is shaded thanks to the hardtop and plus it is the highest deck onboard resulting in the perfect perch to share special moments. With the superstructure now joined to the hull this project can now fully move on to the outfitting stages at full-space. Al Waab II is one of a few yachts in the works at Alia Yachts, 32 Project 'Nozomi II' is expected to appear in 2020. She is a near sister to the completed 31-meter "Virgen Del Mar VI".
