  1. Bering Yachts Unveil B92 Flagship
American yard Bering Yachts is taking the wraps off the latest yacht in their lineup. It is a 28-meter vessel that will become the company's flagship yacht. It is called the B92 and in terms of aesthetic, it is a distinct departure from the usual rugged explorer look that we have become accustomed to from this yard. The B92 features sportive styling on the exterior looking more like a planing flybridge yacht. Despite her looks, she cannot perform that way.
  2. With a pair of Cummins QSL9 410 horse power diesels she will likely not pass the 13-knot mark. She will be built with an aluminium superstructure and a steel full displacement hull. Layouts have not been offered as yet but we can see that whatever the arrangement and or its option(s) it will be across three decks. The design is done in house and the interior will be the work between the yard and the client at this stage. Without seeing any arrangements, the master is likely in the forward main deck position taking advantage of the large side and front windows. The guest rooms will be on the lower deck and customization throughout the boat will be wrapped up in the build.
  3. As previously mentioned, power will be from 410 horse power Cummins QSL9 diesel engines. These will draw from 15,000 LT capacity fuel tanks and have a range in the region of 3,500 nautical miles at economical cruising speeds likely below 11-knots. Bering has clearly gone the other way in the styling of this new flagship. At first glance, the vessel looks like a fast flybridge cruiser but then it becomes apparent the engine selection as well as the displacement hull is more suited for slow and longrange cruising.
