A few months ago Astondoa revealed the Astondoa Ax8 Crossover yacht. That yacht is now making its debuts at the Autumn boat and yacht shows. The yard announced that it will be making its world premiere at the Genoa International Boat Show -which is currently underway September 21-26-. The Ax8 Crossover is a 24.46-meter vessel with a beam of 6.22-meters and a draft of 1.62-meters. Standard engine setup is Volvo Penta IPS 1350 pulling from full tankage capacity of 7,100 LT. There is also provision to carry up to 1,500 LT of fresh water.

Overall the idea/design for the vessel may not be entirely new in its inspiration the Ax8 Crossover does present some nice features inside and externally that will be desirous of the customer. For example, the theme for the Astondoa Ax8 Crossover is "Created to be lived" and the sophistication of the interior on this near 81-foot vessel provides sumptuous living to enjoy both interior luxury and engrossing of exterior vistas. The exterior decks have decent space for relaxing featuring mostly loose furniture which allows for easy reconfiguration of the space according to need. The transom area is host to the yacht's tender and can also stow a PWC. Put these in the water and the space can be configured however.

Onboard, as many as eight guests can overnight with the provision of 4 staterooms on the lower deck. A full-beam VIP-grade suite is aft-most along with a three other cabins. All guest cabins have ensuite bathroom facilities as well as ample wardrobes and plenty of storage space. Two smaller cabins for crew are also provided. The decor in the cabins mirror that of the styling in the open public areas onboard.

Looking at those public areas like the salon we can see the continuation of the design theme leading an atmosphere of continual sophistication. While the side windows may not be near floor-to-ceiling there is still ample natural lighting coming into the salon. Complemented by low-set large-screen TV and low-profile side cabinetry, the views outwards are not compromised on this model. Cutaway bulwarks outside of the main salon also aid in lesser unobstructed views outwards.

Those who follow the Astondoa brand would perhaps see the model name's similarities to another Astondoa model, the AS8. The AS8 is an entirely different vessel and one that the builder calls its "Masterpiece" but after being around since 2020 a new slightly different model was required to evolve from the standard styling and orientation of the AS8. The Ax8 is 24.46-meters while the AS8 is 25-meter but despite being a touch shorter there as been noticeable room on beam where the newest model sports a 6.22-meter width over the 6-meter breadth of the AS8.
