  1. Squalo Trenta From Alpha Custom Yachts
Alpha Custom Yachts has released some visuals of their new 29.6-meter (97-feet) "Squalo Trenta". The model name is Italian and when broken down reveals the meaning behind this particular model offering. Squalo in Italian essentially means Shark/Fish while Trenta (thirty) speaks to the length of the vessel. We should be seeing units from the new series this year, maybe as soon as mid-year if the schedule is maintained.
  2. Both exterior and interior design work is from the pen of Roberto Curtó. Naval Architecture however, is by Massimo Verme. The Squalo is intended as a semi-custom project so there are some freedoms like certain interior layouts concerning accommodation. Actually the vessel is being designed around a flexible layout catering to either 8 guests or 10 guests. Which ever configuration is chosen, the master suite is going to be located forward maindeck. The changeups will happen on the lower deck. Black, Gray, Red and Classic White are the colours available for the hull paint.
  3. Ample utilization of glass not only looks modern but serves a practical function. On a 30-meter vessel you need to create the illusion of more space and one way to do that is let in as much natural light It also serves as a connector of the senses to the exterior surrounding of the yacht. 7.6-meters is the beam and a draft of just under 2-meters is all she draws. The yard did not disclose much information regarding the performance of the vessel at this stage. The Squalo 97 is following in the footsteps of the Spritz 102. The yard says the this model will start deliveries from mid-2023 so by July we should be seeing the first specimen.
