OceAnco Launches 85-meter Sailing Yacht "Aquijo"

Dutch custom superyacht manufacturer OceAnco has formally announced the launching of hull Y711 built under project name P85. However, YF can reveal to you that her final name will be "Aquijo". She sports a design by the Tripp Studio and an interior by Dölker + Voges. In case you have not realized, this is a sailing yacht, launched by OceAnco. This Dutch company is a specialist in custom motor superyachts not sailing yachts. This is where another Dutch company comes in, Vitters! Vitters also helped build Aquijo especially in the early build stages before they shipped her to OceAnco for finishing. Both yards report that they worked very closely with each other throughout all stages of the build.

Aquijo boasts four internal decks for her guests and seamless indoor/outdoor living and is expected to sleep up to twelve guests in her sumptuous and luxurious staterooms. A sailing yacht of this size will have large sailing gear associated with her. She will step two large masts in a ketch arrangement and will easily plug and play connect with all technology needed to feed to and from the masts. Optimization of the gear is being done by Equiplite Europe. One of the groundbreaking features onboard this yacht is the steering system, developed by Vitters Shipyard. By translating the hydrodynamic forces on the underwater rudder blades directly to the Fly Bridge steering wheels, this steering system provides the helmsman with immediate feedback, a feeling for the yacht. This beautiful aluminum ketch is finished in an expertly laid-down flag blue paint job on the hull and white superstructure. An elephant motif stands painted on her bow and perhaps has some significance to her owner. Continue to follow Aquijo through her final fit-out stages of work until delivery for a spectacular view of an interesting superyacht especially dear to the heart of OceAnco. Aquijo represents their first sailing yacht build albeit a collaboration with sailing yacht specialists Vitters.
