  1. Vanquish Yachts Receives Order For 24-meter Chaseboat
Vanquish Yachts recently received an order for a 24-meter chaseboat which will eventually support a 60-meter superyacht currently under construction (Project 'Skyfall' at Heesen). The chaseboat will be a sportfishing type of vessel and is known as VQ80 at the yard. It will be fitout with all the trappings to support the owner's fishing excursions. The owner happens to be an avid angler.
  2. The design you see is a result of Guido de Groot as well as Naval Architecture from Studio Delta. The appearance of the vessel is different with it more looking like a regular 80-foot powered yacht with a small tuna-top than an actual sportfisher look. Outside of fishing the chase boat will have pretty comfortable interiors too. According to the deckplans from the builder it appears there will be three cabins below deck with a V-berth being the principal and a couple of bunk style smaller cabins.
  3. With the capability to run for over 330 nautical miles comfortably this boat can be gone from the mothership for the day without issue. Top speed is anticipated to be 51-knots (light load) but sprinting at 35 to 40-knots cruising is within the normal operational realm. This will be ensured by a pair of CAT C32 marine diesels providing serious impetus to your fishing trip.
