If you were at the 2024 edition of the Palm Beach International Boat Show you may have come across the 2024 Formula 500 SSC (Super Sport Crossover). As a reminder Formula Boats introduced this vessel in 2021. Whether it is taking your complement of guests to dinner across the bay or on far-flung offshore escapades the Formula 500 SSC will take you there with speed and comfort. Using a double-stepped FAS3Tech® hull paired with quadruple Mercury V12, 600 horsepower Verado outboards.

The Formula 500 SSC has the usual you would expect to see below deck in this size category. In the bow there is the large convertible U-lounge -convertible because it can become berthing for overnight passages if necessary-. However, there is a dedicated cabin further aft in the boat with queen-sized bedding and even a side sofa! The head is quite spacious offering stand-up shower space and regular vanity comforts. There are quite a few boats in this 50-foot segment so manufacturers have to provide all the amenities.

Moving back on deck, showcases the main social area onboard the yacht. From the enclosed coupe-top salon to the aft lounge bar, the 500 SSC is a true evolution and culmination of the Formula SmartZone™ concept. From the full bow lounge forward to the expansive extended swim platform aft, you will find air-conditioned comfort, entertainment and innovation. A full-width motorized glass salon bulkhead allows you to choose your degree of separation or shared fun with the aft cockpit lounges and bar areas.

The full LOA of the vessel is 53.4-feet -with outboards in the water-. The beam is 14.6-feet with a draft of 51 inches (1.30-meters). The yacht can take 2,460 LT of fuel and 380 LT of fresh water. Formula Boats is suggesting that the approximate weight of the vessel is 43,400 lbs. From it's extensive social space on the main deck cockpit to its residential-like interior below and good performance, the 500 SSC is a decent offering for those in the 50-foot market.
