  1. Christensen Announces the Sale of a New Custom 50M Series yacht

Christensen Shipyards is pleased to announce the signing of a contract for a Custom 50M Series project. This sale, known as Project '2GES', was brokered by Steve Elario of Y. CO. With a massive beam of over 29’ and the international tonnage of approximately 499 GRT, this luxury 164’ vessel has a total interior square footage of over 5,000 square feet. Twelve guests will be comfortably accommodated in six gracious staterooms each with an en suite bathroom adorned with custom finishes. It will feature a main deck Master Suite, a VIP stateroom, four guest cabins, and an elevator servicing all decks.

The exterior square footage of over 4,000 square-feet provides abundant opportunities for entertaining and basking in the sun along with ample room designated for a touch-and-go helipad and toys. At the Sport Deck area, a hydraulically elevated swim and/or diving platform (multi-functional platform) is provided, where the owners and guests can enjoy their water sports or simply lounge in the seawater safely. She will also be provided with a fold-out balcony, accessed from a large sliding door, from the Sky Lounge cabin side, where the owners and guests can enjoy the sunset while at anchor.

She will be powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 series engines, with a range of over 4,000 nautical miles, and features Quantum Zero Speed At-Anchor stabilizers. She will have an independent generator room, the first of her class, which is completely sound and vibration isolated, to ensure quietness and comfort for the yacht. The yacht will be built to American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) “Commercial Yacht Services” classification, and the Red-Ensign Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) latest commercial large yacht code LY3 compliance, which would enable her to be chartered in Europe.
