  1. Lurssen launches the 85-meter superyacht "Quattroelle"

German custom superyacht manufacturer Lurssen launched their latest superyacht this morning from their Rendsberg facilities. An 85-meter superyacht bearing the name "Quattroelle" was towed away from the shed and we can confirm that this is the superyacht under construction as Project "Bellissimo".

In September 2010, her keel was laid initiating construction. By June 2011, the world saw a glimpse of what she would look like when the Bellissimo project was transferred for finishing. The superyacht boasts five decks above the waterline featuring a design by Nuvolari & Lenard. Twelve guests will be slept in six staterooms. Like many of Lurssen's past superyachts, this one was built in a shroud of secrecy. ***** Yacht & Ship had oversight of the project during it's construction. There is a distinct motif on the sides of the yacht's mast/funnel and also on the bow, possibly a form of insignia of the owner.

Quatroelle is said to be built by a repeat client. Black adorns the superstructure walls, white on the hull and bronze for the motifs and boot line resulting in a pleasing combination of colours. The modernly shaped ports on the forward end of the main deck add significant character to the superyacht's overall appearance. Another nice feature is there is a helipad located on the bow. Tender storage is in the main garage located in the aft hull on the lower deck. It is expected that Quatroelle will be delivered by Autumn 2012.
