Holland Jachtbouw launches 45-meter sloop "Heureka" The latest yacht from Holland Jachtbouw has been launched and she is a 45-meter sloop with the name "Heureka". She is a Dixon designed sloop with an interior design by Rhoades Young Designs. The interior is said to be done to a minimalist concept. Roeland Franssens, a Director at Holland Jachtbouw was at the launch and said, “We are delighted to see Heureka move onto the next phase of her sea trials – the engineering and project teams at HJB have worked around the clock to ensure that she was launched on time and that all systems are operational. She is an impressive sight and we are extremely pleased with the outcome of the innovative, unique features incorporated in the build of this vessel.”
Heureka features a concealed automatic bimini and dodger system and a telescopic lifting keel, engineered by the team at Holland Jachtbouw with the sole purpose of not interfering with the interior accommodation. The LOA is 45-meters with an overall Beam of 9-meters. Thanks to a variable length keel, her draft can extend from just 3.90-meters to 5.90-meters. The all-aluminium yacht already has her mast stepped and will soon move on to the next phase of testing and trials.
