New Director & CEO for Feadship America...

Francois van Well joins Feadship America...

[16 May 2006] Feadship has announced that Francois van Well has been appointed Director and CEO of Feadship America. Previously one of the Directors at Royal Van Lent, Francois will work alongside Don Kenniston, who has run the Dutch luxury yacht builder’s Stateside office since it opened in 1977.

As the new Director and CEO of Feadship America, Francois will be aiming to further strengthen the sales function of the office in Ft. Lauderdale. Over half of Feadship’s client base is based in the United States and Francois’s appointment will increase the ease with which personal contacts can be made within this largest of markets. In addition to maintaining close relationships with (potential) clients, he will network with captains and prepare marketing materials specially aimed at the American market.

“While Americans are very used to traveling within their own country, some are less keen on taking a flight to Holland,” Francois says. “The fact that Feadship has its own office in Florida offers many other benefits. People welcome the opportunity to be able to contact you any time of the day, without having to take time zones into account. Moreover, being in the US means it is much easier for me to visit a client in person.”

Before taking up his new position in March, Francois was involved with a project to analyze the yachting market in general and the Stateside market in particular. “Our goal is to have the clearest possible picture of how Feadship can best be represented,” explains Francois. “The Feadship brand is unique in the superyacht world and we offer an incredible product to the most sophisticated of client bases. Serving the world as we do means ensuring that all cultural traditions are understood and the needs of individual owners kept to the fore. This is a challenge which I relish meeting in the years ahead in America.”
