  1. New Heesen custom 50-meter superyacht signed

Proceedings continue to look positive for Dutch yacht manufacturer, Heesen with the signing of yet another superyacht. This one is a 50-meter luxury motoryacht with build number YN17350. This signing brings the tally to four superyachts signed in 2012 for Heesen and for the last couple of Christmas seasons, a new project to end the year with.

Not surprisingly, Naval Architecture is compliments Van Oossanen Naval Architects in cooperation with Heesen. The exterior styling is being done by Clifford Denn Design. The arrangement for eight guests is in three double cabins and a twin. The owner will have their own stateroom on the forward end of the main deck.

Looking at the running characteristics, 15-knots is the calculated top speed thanks to a pair of MTU 8V4000 engines. She will be capable of Trans-Atlantic range with her 4000 nautical-mile credentials at a reduced speed of 12-knots. Overall, Heesen now has as many as 13 yachts in various stages of build running them through to 2015. The last 50-meter Heesen superyacht YF reported on was Project 'Azuro'. YN17350 is scheduled for delivery in 2015.
