I need to replace a Sea Fire ESRS Mark VIII model 131-267 on a viking. This is the fire control system box. Spoke to Sea Fire and various distributors, part is no longer made and not available from them. Does anyone have one of these parts for sale?

    Hi,

I do not envy your search for that part as not much comes up on Google when searching for one.

Is it possible that you could adapt another model to do the same job rather than have to look at changing your whole system?

Sea Fire says no, but I'll continue to explore options. Looking for the simple and fastest fix before committing to a new system!

Sea-Fire have superseded many of their parts recently. On a fairly new Targa we had to replace the entire system at a very good price from Sea-Fire due to the changes.

Check with your insurance broker/surveyer whether putting the old system back is the best way to go. They get very antsy about fire safety.

Have you called Viking? They know where everything is mounted on all of the boats they've built.

By-Passed? By a dash mini panel? Follow those wires from that mini panel.
I don't think they all have a factory install.
But if Viking did installed it, Your manual and the factory will know.

The by-pass does not work? The engines won't start?
Or the lil light is out?
