Naiad pump leaking into 12V71 block

    I didn't realize the pressure in the old systems way up there. cool.

    I was thinking about the HE also. BUT, the HE sits in the oil reservoir, Don't think the oil is under any pressure there, if any leaks, the unit could fill with water. I did see a different system once with a HE that looked like a clutch cooler. I guess you can ad a clutch type oil cooler to a Niad system also. Guess we need a better picture from the owner....

    If I remember, the NAIAD we had, the resevoir was a tall cylinder and the heat exchanger was a tube running through it, that the seawater passed through. The resevoir was mounted pretty high above the waterline so I think the seawater could gravity feed out once the unit was shutoff and it's possible if it has a small hole oil could drain out also.
