    Valerie

I have some pics of Valerie from her visit her in Norway today, will post later.

One of the local newspapers went a little overboard with this rare occation that a vessel like her is here and went digging in to anything they could find about her. The latest they came up with is that she is on a tour to be shown of to prospective buyers as she supposedly still belongs to the Lurssen yard. Could this be correct or is the paper just confusing things? Sounds a bit weird for me that such a project would be completed on the off chance they find a buyer......

I doubt it is owned by the yard. A pretty popular management company represented the build of her so I would think that she would have ended up for sale on their website if this was the case.

Just what I was thinking as well. This paper is not known for beeing too acurate even in normal operation, so with the summer temps these days I guess they are doing even more guesswork :)

I herad Peter and Friedrich Lurssen earn c.a 12.5million euro per year,
so I doubt that they have the budge for a Yacht like that.

That's not how they would have ownership though. The most likely reason Lurssen would have ownership is if the financing for the build went south and the yard took possession of the yacht as collateral for what is owed to them. At that point, they can decide to shop it as an in-build or complete it and sell it. Either way, if this was the case it most likely would have been displayed on the market.

    Hi,

That is a pretty accurate summation of how these things have worked previously for other yards.

Another little clue to it's non Lurssenwerft Ownership might be the St Vincent and the Grenadines Flag on it's stern that you reported on previously.

Would it normally retain the German flag in this case?

This is pretty normal, a shake-down cruise.
