It could well be that much
On sea trials in the Nordsee
Wow! Very nice video and thanks for sharing Bagatelle.
This video was taken from a Pilotage Mothership. This big boat (Omar) is pretty agile. Stopping distance, acceleration and turn radius, not bad at all. One can tell, there is no china or crystal glasses on the tables jet. And those sea trail crews are used to drive frigates, corvettes and PT boats during their sea trails .
Another video of her sea trials.
Does anyone have information on gross tonnage yet?
I have heard the gross tonnage is around 15500
Very nice find on the video! Although she seems like she is going slow it is doing pretty good in the rough seas
Al-said is 15,850 gross tonnage, Peter Lurssen states in a on line video that project Omar is the largest yacht in the world by gross tonnage
I have heard from various sources that OMAR will be delivered tomorrow (14-05-2016). I can't wait to see her in the mediterranean!
Yep she is just leaving Bremen heading to Tanger, Morocco.
Someone who is onboard has posted a different destination on their FB page.
Would you please share who this person is so we can see?
Report in a German tabloid new Dilbar gross tonnage is 18,550
She just left Gibraltar and is on her way to Cyprus. I was expecting she would set sail to the IYCA Antibes.
This video shows her size really well..what a huge yacht.
I have a question for you. Those 6 large windows on the side. What could they be ? in fact, they aren't all windows. Some of them look like balcony's. Are there cabins behind them? what do you think?
