Very nice and funky heli! I hope the pattern in the bow was just for the show. And placing cars in the boats' decks is just plain tacky and out of place.

I was apparently shocked to hear about the sale of "Quattroelle" today!
I mean you wait 3 years for your yacht to be completed and then you sell it after 1 year? Unfortunately there was not asking price released...Would have been cool to compare hers with the 230 Million euros of "Nirvana".

    QUATTROELLE - 288 Ft. (88m) Lurssen - SOLD!

That's not strange. For example: Some yachts are in highly demand and other people pay much more as you paid for building her (making profit). Or the yacht is too small.

We had some projects for sale where the yacht was semi finished and the owner realized that the yacht is too small and we must offered it for sale.

I'm interested to hear the sale price as well! I think it would have to be less than 230 million euros though. Y709 is still listed at Morley for 175 million euros. I would expect Quattroelle to be somewhere around there.

    Quattroelle

After her recent sale to the Middle East, Quattroelle has arrived at her new home, Dubai, UAE. Different sources say, her new ownership is the family of Sheikh Maktoum.

Lets hope, this beautiful ship will still travel and come to the Med or other great places (to be spotted :D) and not hide in the Persian Gulf or the Red Sea.

Can anyone else get the virtual tour to load? It doesn't seem to be working for me.

"Quattroelle" apparently has a shadow vessel called Quattroelle Shadow. The 4 L's can be seen on the 56-meter shadow yacht's sides.

I'm not sure of the point as she never leaves her berth.

The support vessel Quattroelle Shadow is an old and beaten OSV built by Halter Marine in 1981 as Marsea 12.

After her first live as an offshore supply vessel she was refited as a yacht support vessel and served as
    Lady Lola Shadow

    and Red Sapphire Shadow

She stayed in the area and IMHO in this greater family most of the time. I also wonder why a larger yacht which does not move, needs a shadow. May be in the future. I would love to see Quattroelle in Med in the future. She is one of my favorites.

Very old joke in the yachting industry: Why does have middle east royalty always such big yachts? Because they always have to take their whole entourage and family with them on voyage. The one guy left at home will start a revolution and takes over the regency :).

Btw. these are my two favorite pictures of Quatroelle:

What better place could a mortal being being have, than hanging around in this pool with a nice drink :D.
What would the world be without boats?
