Yes, but unfortunately not for the Lürssen staff. There is really a lot of work to do and these weeks will pass like a too short weekend.

Wow, she is indeed going to launch very soon. Providing this isn't some belated April Fools joke. Sorry I am still in my watchful mode from yesterday.

As I wrote a few weeks ago 2 dates have been discussed:
I promised to let you know the exact date as soon as it's confirmed and I am very sorry that it's none of the mentioned ones. My contract with Luerssen of course doesn't allow me to provide any details. And this is why I won't write down the date and exact time ot the Azzam launch. But I was not forbidden to create a riddle out of it. So I will only let you know that you should watch out on one of the two dates plus 1 day.

I've seen larger, more revealing photos of her and she will be interesting. Quite a lot of exhaust.

Lots of exhaust pipes! Her aft deck overhangs look really swept! Goes well with her raked main mast but the bottom of the main mast seems to have an interesting design and have the domes all around it kind of like "Topaz", the steps down the transom look nice with them along the centerline of the yacht. Waterjets look imposing!

Does someone know where the water intakes are? I assume in the bottom of the hull, but where?

    It's 7, 8 or 9. Can't remember right now.
Where did you see these larger pictures even showing the mast? Are they public? You seem to have quite an exclusive source  .

What do you think would be a sensible place for the intakes? And right there they are.

    Hi,

If you know any of the AV guys on it one has linked to a photo on his FB Page

It is the same one that was on yesterdays DIE NORDDEUTSCHE front page but from a different source

In fact there are 10 of them. I've never noticed No 10 until today - I took a closer look only because of this topic. But of course not all of them are engine exhausts.

yes she does for such as large yacht. I personally do not like the 'fashion plates' that run at an angle through out all the decks of the superstructure. Maybe I just have to get accustomed to it.

Wow look at these photos of her in the dock, that is art!!

Personally I do not like her design... it looks like from the 90ies for me. She is way to high for her beam and the superstructure is way to short or the bow to long... completly throws off the lines IMHO. But hopefully she will grow on me though, her front and the aft do not look that bad at all.

However she is shure impressive and I am glade that we have a new No. 1! It will be interesting to watch her first sea trials and see how fast she really is.
Building such a yacht in 28months is incredible... well done and congratulation Lürssen! :)

I have to go the other way Milow! I think she is a good design! Seen from above she is certainly nice!
