I have a '88 4207 - I'm looking to replace the vents that vent the engine room and mount on each side of the hull. Can anyone recommend a source?

i believe they are made by attwood. if you take a look back on the pictures post at my 405flybridge pic (a few post above yours) you will see some plastic vents mounted vertically on the left side of the pic. although these are allowing air circulation on my flybridge from what i can see of your boat pics they look alot like what you have on the sides of your hull with just a few put end to end. you can also call carver parts they will be able to tell you who the manufacturer is.
also try plastic boat vents in google images search and see what you get
    what about this one?
