    Joseph Vittoria has passed. Most persons in the yachting scene would have known him as Joe Vittoria pretty well known for building the "Mirabella V" back in 2003 which is currently "M5". The yacht is still the largest single-masted sail yacht in the world with the largest sail and mast in that category. Joe Vittoria passed at the age of 85.

    Sad to read that. Condolences to his family.

    I remember when Mirabella V was launched, and how astonished we sailing yacht enthusiasts were with the scale of her. One has to respect the people that are willing to front up and push boundaries.
