    Hello everybody!
I am curious about the insurance costs affiliated with yachts. Are they usually considered to be included in the "10% operating costs of the boat value", and does anyone know the approximate figures of the Mangusta 80 case? (model 2000 located in France).

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, and yes, insurance is included in the 10% figure. I don´t know how much an older Mangusta would cost you, but I think Pantaenius has one or two in their books. Call Michael Kurtz in Monaco or Björn Burkert in Hamburg, they should know. (On that yacht, fuel is the cost.. )

My experience puts the number at about 1% (plus/minus a few basis points) of the value of the boat.

I have my 2008 Fairline Squadron 78 which is also an 80 ft. boat insured with Pantaenius. The insurance annual premium is 0.6% of the insured value.
