  1. Ferretti unveils new Ferretti 960 megayacht

Recently, Ferretti Yachts unveiled details of their new flagship, currently under construction. The new vessel is the Ferretti 960 2013 model. Not surprisingly the new project brings together many familiar entities like Studio Zuccon International Project, Centro Stile and AYT.

This new 2013 model currently in build is being seen as the successor to the Ferretti 881. When this new model launches in Spring 2013, it will be the first model of the Ferretti Brand to have a five-stateroom layout enabling her to carry a minimum of ten guests. She will have four mirror staterooms on the lower deck all opposite each other of the center-line. The master stateroom as you would expect is forward on the main deck.
  2. The main social area on the main deck comprises of the saloon and the dining room. Both pretty much would flow as one space as the plan is pretty open. 'U'-shaped seating area with table exists on the port side of the saloon to take advantage of the media counter on the other side. Like many models, the saloon benefits from the large sliding doors in the superstructure that open up the dining space allowing further connection to the exterior.

Briefly looking at the technical specifics, the Ferretti 960 will be carrying a pair of MTU 16V 2000M84 engines in the standard version that will crack out a top speed of 27.5-knots. However, if the client needs a further powerful engine package, there is the optional MTU 16V M93 or M94 set allowing her to reach 31-knots. Be sure to look out for the new model in Spring 2013 when she is expected to launch.
