I need help. The upper station control broke on my 68 aluminum hull Roamer. I bought a set of used Morse controls with cables, but discovered that the cables are too short and the Morse cables are smaller in diameter than the cables which presently run from the upper station to the transmission and engine. I would like to access the control panel on the bridge level to check the cable connectors, but I can't figure out how to get access. I have removed the wall section from the salon which gives access to the wiring and cables running down from the control panel, but I can't reach up or see up far enough into the control panel. There has to be a simply way to replace the guages and cables mounted on the control panel. Help?
