Bamboo, you show LI as your location. LI was controlled by conservatives for ions until very recently when the payoffs and corruption just got to be more than even they could stand. Same goes for upstate. Only NYC rings the liberal bell. About the part of your post that was cut, NY'ers don't put up with PC BS well. It's fun being rude to people who insult slyly thinking it won't come back on them. Personally, I love the people who "show concern" for my smoking. I tell them that the reason I smoke is because it ticks off people like them (and I don't phrase it that nicely).
