This is really all Carl's fault!

I never really thought about having a second boat in addition to my Azimut, but then I saw how Carl had a go fast runabout and things started clicking in my head.

Well I just pulled the trigger on a 38' Cigarette Top Gun w/ twin HP 525 Mercruisers. Saw some Fountains and Outer Limits as well, but this one just 'talked' to me. Should have her in hand in a couple of days.

I think I may need some flying lessons from Dave. :)

Anyone else have go fast tenders??

Thought the graphics on this boat were really different. Check out the ghosted images just below the deck line.

Much more utilitarian than the helm on my Azimut!

    A 38' stepped-hull Top Gun! Sweet!!

You just left me breathing vapor trails. Best I can do in the Powerplay is 76 mph... downwind, with the current, running on fumes with ornaments thrown overboard.

There are many offshore performance boats to choose from, but none carry the legacy and recognition of a Cigarette. They're a solid boat, a little heavy on lay-up, but you can't break 'em. The stepped hull more than compensates for the extra glass.

One of my oldest friends is Craig Barrie, the past owner of Cigarette. Just spoke with him a couple of weeks ago about his latest wave-slayer... Dragon Powerboats. If you need any info, he'd be a good resource, although the stepped hull Cig's were built after he sold the company.

    Congratulations!!!!!!

Oh yeah... I volunteer to show you how far those levers on the right side of the wheel work! Your first South Florida fill-up is on me. That is a 6 gallon fuel tank, right?

Thanks, but no it isn´t built. We are however thinking of building an open 29´on our existing hull. Could look like this:
