I'm tired of arguing with the factory. I'm tired of arguing with the mfg. I'm tired of showing the above mentioned what a schematic is, how it works, and why. Works by design or design by functionality. Every time someone comes on the boat, I get something different. Well it's not supposed to do that because ____ Well it's supposed to that because _____ It was designed that way _______ Including two diff. factory reps. and 3 different genset "experts". I'm so f*&^% irritated I could spit. Who can recommend with absolutely certainty of competence and knowledge someone to look at a a pair of gensets (21.5 & 13.5 Onan) and figure out (what one would think) is a basic issue with load transferring / switching and balancing. I'll fly them to the boat if needed. But I need someone who can give me the straight dope, and fix it. No shotgunning / sticks to the roof diagnosis. PM if you have any recommendations.
At first glance, it seemed from the thread title that this was a post regarding inter-machinery dating sites: "Onan seeks non-leaking Detroit, 12V preferred." Seriously, can one of you mods change the title to the more apt "woes"? Thus getting a quicker resolution to PropBet's problem.
Sorry / thanks for the correction on the thread title. The boat is in the Bahamas, and will soon head towards FLL. So, South Florida for the lack of AIS.
Hi, Have you tried Tess Electric, they are or used to be able to fix anything.? The company has a membership on YF as Tessllc. If you don't have success with the phone answerer ask for Paul Salenieks by name he is the founder and the smartest Electrical Engineer I have ever had the pleasure to meet/work with. If you need it PM me and I will give you his cell no.
Thanks Joe. I have not spoken to them, but will get a call their direction. I appreciate the recommendation. We have one last "go 'round" with the factory. Should that be fruitless, I'll get a call to Paul directly.
Marine Gear in ft. Laud has a technician that is really good. I know they're a Westerbeke and Northern Lights dealer, but they work on everything.
