Genset HE replacement

    Well, 17 year old heat exchanger on my norpro 18 popped a leak. Norpro is out of business so I m looking at options.

    Original Norpro design has built in welded expansion tank above the HE. Thinking about using a generic HE like those found on NL, Ohno etc with an external plastic recovery tank

    Any reason why that wouldn’t work? Not sure what the benefit of that integral expansion tank is...

    Thanks for the link. I ll call for a quote. Didn’t know they called it a piggy back... I got a quote today from a genset place up in CT for an exact replacement. Reasonable. But I ll try these guys

    Go to Jerry's Marine Service in Fort Lauderdale, they're now a part of Lewis Marine Supply and moved to Lewis' building. They'll get a price and have the identical one made or know who made that one, as it wasn't Norpro who manufactured it. It should be reasonable.
