I am seriously looking at a 36 GB Classic, 1988. We have been searching for, quite literally years for that "perfect trawler" and we believe this boat fits the bill. We have chartered a GB 36 before and we are familiar and comfortable with their handling and sea keeping characteristics.

This particular boat has twin Ford Lehman 135s and an Onan 8KW gen. The engines have approx 5600 hrs.

I would be delighted if anyone has any information regarding the GB 36 Classic and or the Ford Lehman 135s, and could comment.

Our prior boat was a 29 Dyer with a single 3208 Natural, so this will be quite the step up!

    THANKS!

Hi, the GB36 is a nice classic and if it is well maintained, usually also good value for money. However, as with all 20 year old boats you need a good surveyor to check everything out. Ask for service records on the engines and if they are rebuilt and hopefully there are some newer navigation electronics.

    Good luck with the purchase!
