Fuel tank removal

    I have to say I would not put a tank back that does not have 1/4” bottom plate. And make sure it is raised from the bottom platform sitting on neoprene or king starboard strip with drain holes on the bottom platform that doesn’t allow water to accumulate between it and the bottom of the fuel tank.

    The tank is cheap. The Labor will make you dizzy. Pending your engine install, the block may have to come out, at least the exhaust manifold and deck sections.

    I remember one Ocean customer who knew it was going to be a future issues, replaced his tanks during his engine rebuilds.
    All went well. On examining his old tanks,,,,, good move....

    Better service yards have access to tank PC programs. Some measurements and a CAD file is built. Off it goes for bids.
    Huckins used this for many of our customers including our own work boat. Every time a perfect fit.
