This years show was fantastic, and I was able to come down for more than a day and take a look / seek out a perfect 25M-30M for a potential employer. While it was a lot "warmer" on Saturday that I was hoping for, it was still very much productive, and I will be posting my pics this evening. Glad to see the enthusiasm from our other members and that is the only place that gives me such a "natural high" that I can never sleep while I'm there, even with the time change, and spending about 8 hours on Friday, 12 hours on Saturday, and 9 hours on Sunday there, I still couldn't sleep because I was so excited to be there and see all my friends, and yachts that I see in the magazines and on here all day long.

    Will be posting pics tonight!!

I got to have some more fun today as the show was breaking down I got to see some of the boats I had seen at the docks on the water making their way through the boat jam which is much more entertaining than a traffic jam of cars!

The Delta 54 IPS rides nicely http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/boat-shows-yacht-watching/21711-fort-lauderdale-international-boat-show-2013-flibs-9.html#post183855 as she makes her way North on the ICW.

    delta (2).JPG

Not too far behind is the Delta 33 Open http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/boat-shows-yacht-watching/21711-fort-lauderdale-international-boat-show-2013-flibs-10.html#post183926 which is being mindful of being in a manatee zone by keeping her speed down.

    delta (4).JPG

Here is the green hulled Zeelander http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/boat-shows-yacht-watching/21711-fort-lauderdale-international-boat-show-2013-flibs-10.html#post183926 that was in the show.

I later learned that Zeelander was providing several copies to be used as VIP tenders during the show. Zeelander's Provide VIP Shuttle Service At the 2013 Florida International Boat Show - YouTube

They were looking great and had a very sexy deep throated exhaust note!!
    delta (5).JPG

I was so glad to see this little Fairline http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/boat-shows-yacht-watching/21711-fort-lauderdale-international-boat-show-2013-flibs-9.html#post183878 underway.

Now that I see she is driven by an inboard outboard I bet she flies whey you put the peddle to the medal!

    delta (1).JPG

The 45's bigger sister the Targa 62 http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/boat-shows-yacht-watching/21711-fort-lauderdale-international-boat-show-2013-flibs-10.html#post183917 was not far behind keeping an eye out to be sure his little sister was not given too hard of a time by the bigger kids on the way to school!

Thanks for all your nice pictures from the show. The Delta is a 33 Open so I edited this here and will do it in your previous post too. The 26 Open was last years news...:)

Another boat I got to see leaving the show that we saw earlier is Safira. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/boat-shows-yacht-watching/21711-fort-lauderdale-international-boat-show-2013-flibs-3.html#post183386

On her way going South on the ICW I was able to snap a couple of closeups of her tenders.

    cat (3).JPG

In this shot you can get a glimpse of her sailboat tender rigging.

Saffy is a custom 25' Hunt Harrier that is powered by a Yamaha stern drive burning just nine gph at 30 knots.

You can read a little more about Safira http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-trawler-discussion/8740-new-build-sparkman-stephens-129-safira.html#post56226

    cat (5).JPG

In the gaggle of boats crowding the ICW today this one caught my eye because of her snappy name One Fish Two Fish and her good looking blue hull.

    delta (3).JPG

The 118' Benetti Shalimar(Garden of Beauty) is one of my favorite yachts because of her interesting design details such as the three vertical shapes that are openings on one deck and windows in the sky lounge.

Her radar tower's shapes repeat the same vertical details tying these features together for a striking look.

    cat (2).JPG

The 107' La Sella del Diavolo cat built by Nuovo Arsenale Cartubi in 2011 was another yacht with contemporary design features and a light gray hull that caught my eye in today's hit parade as a real winner.

Hi AMG, Thanks for making the corrections! I should have noticed the discrepancy when I went Delta's website 33 Open | Delta Powerboats and saw that there was a new model!

You moderators are doing a great job, please keep up the good work!

I don't think I will ever need to attend FLIBS with this detailed coverage on YF.

Greetings to ALL from Egypt :).

I agree with you TK but there is nothing as nice to be there with the vibe of FLIBS. I have missed the show 3 times now and feel depressed every year i look at the photos.

    Thanks Disco!

I've got some more pics that I'll be uploading tonight, I ran out of time last night.

I did get to see Secret Spot's profile, and was approached about maybe taking over the Captain's position if she successfully closes from the show. I got into the salon of her, and she's in great shape for an '04 with the refit in '11.

You have to go at least once TK. There's nothing like being at the show... pictures are great, but we've got some of the top pics around right here at YF, but there's nothing like being able to stand in one spot, turn around 360ยบ and see nothing but yachts!
