Does Anyone know
Where is this boat now? Any Idea?
I think the Claybeth is now called Sirenuse and is owned by a young American family. It was featured in one of the magazines after a refit just recently
Great Feadship gallery!
Does anyone know the fate of "Blackhawk"? The last I heard Mr. Bill Wertz had purchased a 123' Sailboat and had named her "Blackhawk" and far as I know she doesn't leave Lake Michigan.
That would indicate to me that the older 123' Feadship, "Blackhawk", has changed hands. I was Engineer in her over 20 years ago with Capt. Peter Putz. She was a fine ship and I think of her and the owners often.
Really enjoyed your Feadship gallery...it brings back fond memories.
Does anyone know any history about 1953 Feadship Ventura? Possible new name, Ligeia III, aka Rodis Island II?
In my 1956 Lloyds Register of American Yachts book there is a listing for:
1955 64'10" built by Holland American Yachts in Muiden, Holland
Owners Name - George F. Baker of Oyster Bay N.Y.
I'll have to also look it up in my new History of Feadship book!
... shipped it yesterday. Enjoy!
The 1953 Ventura was 22,86 m. 75´if my Feadship Fleet brochure is right...
can you possibly rememeber which magazine the article was in as Id like to get a copy (I am restoring ann old 62ft Feadship)
David . -I am unsure of the forum rules on naming other publications so if I have screwed up Carl I am sorry in advance.
It was in the Apr/May 2005 issue of Showboats International. It didn't go into much detail mostly dealt with the cosmetic changes. Best of luck on your restoration
No worries Ken! I'm mostly concerned about links, because other sites can benefit from the same. They can also dilute rankings within a competing sector. Thank you for being aware and respecting this.
thanks Ken ..Ill check it out
Hello, I think it was The Ventura that was for sale in 2004. It was for sale through a smaller broker. The boat was in a catastrophic condition. I have both photos and contact info for the broker if you want. Pls contact me if so.
that would be great. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
don't know, but we have the sistership to Rodi's Island here at our yard in mothballs. A pity....!

Any chance of posting some photos of the mothballed vessel? What is her name and Where is she lying?
the vessel is the MV Victory, and she is on the back lot here at Broward Shipyard in Dania Beach, FL. I am in the process of taking photos of her.
