The hull builders at Sheepswef SLOB has launched a large superyacht destined for Feadship today. She is believed to be the 92.5-meter XL1005 project. Perhaps she will be bound for Makkum to take the place in the shed that "Madame GU" was in.

The design looks pretty nice. I'm wondering if what I am seeing on the aft main deck under the upper aft deck overhang, is the main pool, if so, that would be pretty large!

Didn't remember I created a thread for this yacht already. Well, she has been launched! Quite detailed yacht with design by Feadship and an interior by Seymour Diamond.

I'm not sure how I feel about her yet but she does have quite a lot of volume! I believe the covered portion aft will be a large pool based on articles previously released.

Yes, it is a rather large pool behind there, the largest Feadship has installed on any of their yachts to-date.

Madame Gu is quite stunning. 1005 won't look as good as Madame Gu but reading about how she will will use a lot of new technologies on the interior front has peaked my interest.

Official name for XL1005 is "Royal Romance". Can we get a name change to the thread title?

With a conventional sundeck instead of the enclosed topdeck she would be really beautiful and stylish. A pity she looks so topheavy.

She does look nice at night though... imagine when the mast is lit and underwater lights are on! This photo by Tom van Oossanen

Yep, it is top heavy with the extra deck and overemphasizes the lowness of the freeboard.
