Delta has launched a new yacht. She is apparently the new "Silver Shallis", bold baby blue hull colour. Anyone close enough to grab pics?
Interestingly, 'Project Monarch' which is a yacht that was supposed to be under build by Northern Marine will be finished at Delta's facilities. The new project was started at Northern Marine but I believe the project ran into trouble. So it will be finished at Delta with funding from Cat financial. If I remember correctly, Capt Tom, took pictures of this project he saw during his travels?
Right you are, Ron. Photos and thread can be found here: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/g...yacht-spotting-seattle.html?highlight=seattle
As you guys should know, a number of projects going on at Delta Marine. There's a 66-meter superyacht in build there under project name "Invader". She is scheduled to be launched in 2013..which isn't too far away so I just thought it would be nice to keep you guys informed. ***
The 45-meter "Gran Finale" passed about 130 miles to the north of Barbados, she's heading for St. Lucia! Was hoping she would have stopped here...nice day for photographing yachts!
The Delta 50-meter "Arianna" has had her splash on the small screen by appearing in a video that Miami rapper Pitbull did. I believe the 'name' of the lady singing the song is Arianna and they used the yacht with the same name in the shoot for what essentially seems to be a Fiat commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Wk9PfN2Hphw
I "heard" about the video on Instagram from Sam Hubintette who was one of the drivers for the commercial... really one of the worst things I have ever seen or listened to. Abhorrently bad. Single handedly redefined the word "awful". I wanted to pour acid in my ears to wash away the pain. If I was the owner of the yacht in question I would have to sell it just to distance myself from the awfulness. The ladies in the above image are the only redeeming thing about the entire sordid mess.
I mean it seems to be more a commerial than a music video, as you saw, Fiat and Beats being the principle brands being flashed constantly!
Delta Project "Invader" Delta Marines project "Invader" will launch mid June under the name "Invictus" the 216 ft / 65.8 meter 1,943 ITC vessel's mechanical spec changed in build. In lieu of the three Cat C-9 generators specified the build opted for three 280 Kw Northern Lights gens with a N.L. 165 emerg gen. Main engines are the original spec Cat 3516-B rated engines. Vessel tankage consists of 12 fuel oil tanks and 5 ballast tanks to give trans pacific range and to keep her in trim. Builders trials to begin after launching and delivery to her American owner is expected mid July 2013
