  1. Nobiskrug completes 60-meter "Jamaica Bay"

"...and the classic craze continues..." As we like to say here at YachtForums.com, this statement aptly applies to Nobiskrug's latest delivery. She is the new 60-meter long "Jamaica Bay" built to replace the a previous yacht that once held the same name. Previously known under build number 779, her external lines evoke a classic affair, no matter where you look at her.

Her canoe stern, lightly flared bow, sweeping easy lines and curves describe her classic appearance. These were all in the preliminary design drawings that her designer, Felix Buytendijk envisioned. Now Jamaica Bay is a reality, it is clear, that the construction and finishing was a success.

The same design firm that was responsible for the exterior was for the interior as well. The interior, as is not surprising, features a traditional-like styling where quality woods like mahogany and nautical blue carpeting are utilized. Accommodation wise, Jamaica Bay sleeps twelve guests in four guest cabins, a VIP and the owner's Suite.

Jamaica Bay is a displacement yacht capable of reaching 16 knots and traveling around 4,000 nautical miles economically. She is expected to be seen in the Caribbean for the 2010/2011 winter season. Nobiskrug is currently working on shortly delivering their next launched yacht, "Sycara V".
