    Hello!

    I have a 1998 SeaRay SedanBridge 480 with Detroit Diesel 6v92's DDEC.
Recently, one of the gear actuators has failed.
I sent it to Sturdy Corp in the USA and they report they can't make it work, and it needs parts that are no longer available for many years. They have basically washed their hands of it.
I currently have my gears connected with manual controls.

    From Sturdy Corp:
We do not have an option to replace this unit, though there are options form other vendors to augment the transmission to convert from mechanical shift to solenoid shift. If the transmission gains the ability to shift using solenoids, our control system can still be used to control the vessel. I can provide you with some information on this, if you want.

Has anyone had any success in transitioning these to a new modern electronic control system? Any recommendations? Price point?

    Thank you!

Do you have the part number of the one you need? I have a DDEC gear actuator in my garage.

Also, check EBay. There quite a few DDEC parts and things listed there. You might get lucky
