YF will start this article with news that did not make it into the Opening Day article by publishing time. Firstly, Sunseeker made another announcement regarding two new designs - the Sunseeker 86 Ocean Enclosed and the Sunseeker 45-meter. The 86 Ocean Enclosed as the name suggests features an enclosed upper-most deck. At 26.17-meters long and 6.56-meters wide the yacht is another addition to the Ocean family of yachts from the British manufacturer.

Basically, the enclosed portion has the skybridge at mid-ship with a sun lounge at the forward end and a lounge area towards the aft. Its fully enclosed nature allows it to be utilized as another lounge area and gives flexible layouts to the customer and guests onboard. The lounge is much higher up than the main salon permitting guests to have a salon-like experience at a higher position and with ample glazing the views out are unhindered. Accommodation comes with a four cabin layout on the lower deck that comprise of the master, VIP and two other guest cabins however, customers can specify the owner's suite be on the main deck. In terms of propulsion, the Sunseeker 86 Ocean Enclosed can carry either MAN V8-1300 units or a pair of MAN V12-1650 engines. Regardless, they are linked to traditional shaft and rudder system and allow for a maximum speed of 26-knots.

The other announcement from Sunseeker on the first day involved the revealing images for the Sunseeker 45-meter. It has been a busy show for this yard so far given that the Manhattan 94 made its international debut at the show, there was an announcement for the Manhattan 80 MK 2 which essentially is a revival of the Manhattan 80, there was the Sunseeker 86 Ocean Enclosed unveiling and now details and an image for the Sunseeker 45-meter were released on opening day.

The 45-meter keeps its exterior design in-house while the interior comes from Vickers Studio. A 440 GT interior volume houses a 5 cabin layout as the normal arrangement though owners can specify a sixth cabin if required. A repeat customer of the yard appears to be the first customer for this model. The garage for the tender onboard is transverse in its orientation Construction is anticipated to commence in the second half of 2027 with delivery in first half of 2029. Sunseekers closest size to the new 45-metger was the 40-meter. Below is an image of the 40-meter for comparison.

A yacht that had no formal introduction to the industry before hand but has a live specimen at the show is from ICONA Yachts for the ICONA 70. ICONA Yachts is a brand new brand under the umbrella of the Overmarine Group. Designed to bring something different and stand-out and separate from the Mangusta line of yachts. The ICONA 70 is the inaugural model from the inaugural brand. Both the exterior and interior have been designed by Lobanov where they present a modern and shapely GRP structure.

Founded by the Balducci family and Stefano Arlunno, co-founders and business partners of EFFEBI NEW PROJECT, it's the newly established company behind "ICONA inspired by Mangusta", an innovative yacht brand making its debut with ICONA 70 as the inaugural model built to the standards of the Overmarine Group. The idea has been born from a shared vision that the future of yachting below the 24-meter mark belongs to those who are willing to challenge convention.

The vessel makes its presence known at the show with its metallic blue hull and very sculpted GRP surfaces. One of the main features on the aft of the yacht includes the folding wings which extend the aft exterior space to approximately 9-meters wide -which is impressive on a 20.9-meter long vessel. The aft deck area is about relaxing as is typical on most smaller yachts in recent times taking the Oasis Deck and Terrace concepts in their own direction.

Benetti unveiled a slight revision to the Oasis class at the show. The Oasis 36M is new and is the result of feedback leading to upgrades and corrections from real-world Oasis models that are in service. This yacht now positions itself between the Oasis 34 and Oasis 40 models and focuses on hydrodynamic efficiency, larger Oasis deck, better maintenance atmosphere and it still has the Bonetti & Kozerski interiors. They are saying that the new Oasis 36M is targeting 10% better hydrodynamic efficiency at 10-knots which keeps the per-engine fuel consumption below 30 LT per hour. A revised hull form with a new bulb design contributes to the reduced consumption. The amount of fuel kept onboard is also less as the majority of owners and spending more time on anchor therefore the yard has increased the size of Black and Grey water storage on the Oasis 36M, now totaling 5,000 LT.

Bonetti & Kozerski interior continues to work with the footprint of the Oasis and continues to emphasize bright, airy living spaces, with large areas of glazing helping to bring natural light into the interiors. The layout has also been optimized with dedicated crew pathways designed to keep crew movements separate from guest areas.

GranOcean has lift the veil off the W-86 a larger power catamaran in their W-series of yachts. In fact, the W-72 is making its Cannes debut. The 26-meter by 12.25-meter wide craft uses its 40-foot beam well to introduce space perched between the hulls on the forward end utilizing full-height glazing for a unique experience onboard. The yacht will be powered by a pair of CAT C32 diesels however, the upper surfaces are photovoltaic clad which suggests that there is battery storage onboard. The owner will enjoy their privacy with their abode being established on the aft upper deck which is away from the remainder of guest accommodations.

GranOcean also took time to update on the under construction X-32 which is scheduled to be launched later this year. This is the flagship and is a 32-meter carbon fiber build. Unlike the W-Series that follows a semi-custom approach, the X-32 is more on a owner-specified trajectory with the yacht being left open to having bespoke touches implemented making it feel closer to a custom project. Given its bespoke nature, we will have to wait to see what features the owner added to this project.

Maiora unveiled the first images and detailed their new model the SuperNova 50 at the 2026 show. The first 49.8-meter hull is actually already under construction featuring design by Tommaso Spadolini and ELIE SAAB. Speaking of construction, the hull is steel which makes it Maiora's first venture into steel construction. The superstructure is aluminium construction. Overall the vessel is 9.05-meters wide and the internal volume is kept to 499 GT. Accommodation wise, it is for 12 guests in a 6 cabin layout.

"We did not simply want to build a 50-metre yacht; we wanted to create a yacht capable of expressing our vision of hospitality, comfort, and quality of life on board", Giorgio Mattei, Deputy Chairman. The layout of the new Supernova 50 is designed around privacy, circulation and close connection between interior and exterior spaces. From the stern platform guests can enjoy exterior decks that encompass five decks. A pair of MAN D2862-LE489 engines will power the vessel to a top speed of 16-knots. Ecconomical cruising is at 11-knots with a stated range of 4,150 nautical miles at 11-knots. The vessel is in build and the timeline puts the SuperNova 50 to be ready for delivery in the second half of 2028.
