  1. Conversion project; 87-meter "Oceanic" superyacht

Icon Yachts is taking on a conversion project of a 87-meter ocean-going tug into a lavish superyacht. The name is "Oceanic" and there are two basic external design proposals as well as two accommodation arrangements. The two accommodation arrangements are as follows:

    Proposal Layout ‘A’: 12 Guest + 1 Owner’s Suite, 16 Crew + Captain
    Proposal Layout ‘B’: 16 Guest + 1 Owner’s Suite, 16 Crew + Captain

Further ideas and proposals for the 87-meter superyacht include; Scope to create a ‘Go anywhere’ - Superyacht, Expeditions Vessel or a true base on sea, • Versatile Tender, Toys, Submarine or Day-sailor carrying capacity • Helicopter pad option to MCA • Ice classed to Germanische Lloyd • 12-meter main deck pool option • Stern bathing platform.

Oceanic was originally built in Germany in 1969 and had her 5-year class survey in mid-2010. With detailed exterior styling, and interior architecture of up to 1,300 m2 conceived by Dutch designer Felix Buytendijk this is already a well-planned conversion project. She could be re-delivered by February 2012, where she would reach a prestigious position in the list of the largest super yachts afloat.
