I recall one of our members is still looking for a real DDC 92 TIA piston kit.
Another guy in Melbourne FL is pulling his out of a Tiara. Can't keep them running.

Price out a QSM11/ZF packages (best replacement package that comes to my mind). Subtract that from a low, average sold price.
IMO, even if the 92s are running, they are still time bombs without a clock face.

You must be, as they say, a glutton for punishment. Capt. Ralph is right on re: those hand-grenade 692's. Once asked my then engine builder what a pile in his shop was. His reply was a pile of 692 junk. Be interesting to see the thick book I suspect you will receive from the surveyor.

Every single system will have to be worked on, engines and gen are only part of the problem. Air con (expensive), heads, fresh water, controls, etc etc.

as to the engines, plan for a 100k+ repower. This is a $50k boat and it may be generous.

I hardly think these are "naturals" as their 550 hp.

Those are 550hp 6V92TAs in this C Craft.
I remember some silver 6V92s in a commercial boat many, many years ago.
Naturals in a recreational boat would not make sense.
You want naturals, you stay with 71s. You want max performance per lung (why 92s exist), you order 92 Ti or TA or TIAs.
Whatever a 92 or 53, sitting for 3 years and no telling what condition the wet liner O rings were in before,, No thank you..

Like I said, QSM11s and a fixer - upper. That boat could pay for itself.

The 8.3s would work very fine.
The 11s would fly.
The HP to weight ratio on the 11s just impresses me. I'm eager to go water skiing behind these.

I read this, #1 boat, 1987 model, under 1000 hours on the engines.
Somebody missed a zero in their typing, full of stuff, hell of a barn find, hell of a dock queen or had a real nice time travel experience.
