She is a 90' open, the first one from Canados shipyard.

She has a great glasse sided hardtop, as well as a glass/teck swimming platform allowing to see the props working in the water. Nicely shaped windows on the hull as well.
The design is both smooth and agressive, I love it.

The only drawing I've seen from her is in the current french version of "Yachts" magazine.

    Estimated speed: 45 knots

Would anyone have some more informations about this exciting project ?

To be honest, I didn't particulary know Canados before I hear about this 90 Open.

I just felt in love with her, that's such a brilliant boat !!!

Canados appears to me to be now kind of a serious challenger in the 90-100' open yacht segment.

MedRascal, I would definitely be glad to get some more designs and renders about her. You can definitely PM me ;)

This one is certainly a beaut!

Different to have the access to the catwalk from the helm door only. But this certainly has some real nice lines across her back!

    MedRascal...

It looks like you had the same problem converting the files from TIF's. In trying to re-format as .jpg's, there were missing segment markers with all of the images supplied by Canados. I only had one image that was good. It's too bad, because these renderings are among the best I've seen.

Here's an example of one image that was not corrupt. Nice work by DeBasto...

    Excellent renderings

All credit to the designer for this work of art.
Here's a link to the page on his site where you can see more of this beauty.
    http://www.luizdebasto.com/boats/YD/canados90.htm
There's also a link at the bottom of the page for a rotational view animation.

I have been working on computer visualisation techniques for a long long time and I have to take my hat off to whoever created the 3D compositions of the boat planing - they have really captured the lighting very well. I think they have used a technique called HDRI that illuminates the computer model from the dynamic range of the colours within an image (such as a background).
When used with a detailed model this can produce very high levels of realism - something that my clients are requesting more often so that images of their design can be used in promotional media prior to the boat being built.

If I was to be ultra critical (which many artists are) the surf in one the images is a little too blurred whereas the boat itself is in sharp focus. This would probably only be noticed by someone who was analysing the image for a purpose. You can get away with this in a video, but a still shot needs a very high level of attention to detail.

Great art is never finished, it is only abanded at some point, so I don't want to be too critical as I would be pleased to present them to any of my clients. I will post some of my work soon, and anyone who's interested can level some critique my way.

    Hi,

I need your help, has anybody good photos of the canados 90 open,
maybe selfmade in your holidays or any else?

I would need some views for planning a model of this yacht, and the
photos in the internet are most very small and not good detailed.

Please be so kind and send me your photos to roland330@gmx.at.

    thanks,
    Roland

I think it would be best advised if you do not display your email address directly to the public on the forums. If someone can help you then contact them via the Private Message System or vice versa.
