Boats arriving in Mallorca

In Spain you can prosecute people for using lasers, depending on what whey where trying to achieve, but some are already in jail. The focus now is protecting planes, the most vulnerable, but other uses deemed inapropiate, like pointing at your camera, can also be prosecuted.

Laser attack

That was the type of laser "pointer" my camera was hit by. A tuned up version of a Wickedlasers Arctic 3. The standard thing already has an output of 1.4 Watt !!!! And they say, its legal in the US? Definately not in Europe. With the tuning kit, the output is much higher. I have no clues, how you can tune a laser?

Al Mirqab

I took this sequence of pictures some time ago. Al Mirqab with paint repair / refit in Palma harbour. Pretty large construction site.

When your deckhand has a lamborghini you either arrive in a smart or stay home. If I was the owner, I would be worried about what other business dealings that deckhand is involved in.

Porto Portals is well known for owners just showing off. Parking the Lambo behind your Yacht (owner is not on board at all), having coffee on the aft deck, just to be seen by the crowd, thats Porto Portals. Port Hercules at smaller scale. But still a nice place and great ambience. The Tristan restaurant even has an Michelin Star.

Looking at the photos of the Apple yacht it comes to mind...

The yacht is beautifully executed and constructed.

This is the yacht that Steve Jobs had designed, built and spent much of his creative efforts at the end of his life to.

It will quickly fade to passe'... as it fades even if perfectly maintained it will mirror the fading of Apple entrepreneurial spirit... and be a reminder of what once was... and what could have
