I often think some people with boats should try camping instead.

Blocking an inlet channel is illegal. Put blame where it is due.

Are you girls still on this?
Move on to more important things.
Anything better like the cost of bait in N E Fl would be of better interest.

Well...I do drift in my Chris Craft 22 dory , the newly dredged channel in Cape May Harbor from the Coast Guard docks out to and through the first half of the inlet! Lol...During the week day only not weekend, late morning to mid day when the others are out on the ocean. At times I keep my engine on to keep me on the channel break and to ease out of the channel from occasional on coming traffic.
They left great little ledges and such for good fluke/flounder fishing.
I do rock at times by I mostly stand when I fish so no big deal to me. But I never anchor there and I'm always ready to drive into a big wake if need .

AND I also did this same type of fishing from my 13' whaler only on Manasquan Inlet / River N.J. when I was a young dude. Including weekends! I would be sitting at the steering wheel! on the ready..

I've had two with in the past five years, both 1974 same color etc. My first one was picture worthy, which I restored on my own and will have to pull it up. My current boat is a little rough, all original boat, including the Morse single ST motor control, the white foam Morse steering wheel, gelcoat , fittings, wind shield etc...lol. and no IMO, ugly heavy top, which I removed.

But it runs like a bat out of hell, previous owner repowered it with a 320hp Crusader only 600 hours on it when I got it. I installed some trim tabs and just run it as is for now till I get time to restore it.

There is a CC Dory thread on YF somewhere. Lots of rebuilds and questions. Maybe you could find it and sent up some of your pictures or start your own CC Dory thread. Seems to be a good following on that model.

They would run over the power pole and blame the park rangers for installing it in the way.
    Yes, I have witnessed that....
