    Captain Buzo,

I know you are already familar with this picture, but thought I would provide for others that may be interested. I spoke with HDW today and will have information following the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.

I wonder how much of the 5.5 metre draft is due to the pods?

That is not ODD at all... Blohm & Voss and HDW are part of the same shipbuilding company/group, they are part of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (www.thyssenkrupp-werften.de) so, any contract will be awarded to the yard with the best suited capabilities...

Kind of like Feadship which isn't a yard on it's own either!

ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems comprises the following sub-sidiaries:

Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH, Kiel; HDW-No-biskrug GmbH, Rendsburg; Blohm + Voss GmbH und Blohm + Voss Repair GmbH, Hamburg; Nordseewerke GmbH, Emden; as well as Kockums AB, Sweden, and Hellenic Shipyards S.A., Greece. :) :)

The marriage between HDW and Blohm+Voss was celebrated on January 5, 2005 :)

What a friggin cool looking yacht!!!!

I wonder if anyone will ever be able to see the views besides the owner and crew???? Talk about a yacht that needs some published interior photography!!!

    Totally stunning!!!

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Crystal Ball on ThyssenKrupp website

On the ThyssenKrupp website http://www.luxury-yachts.info/legends_4.html you can discover more about Crystal Ball. Especially you can watch a movie of Crystal Ball, which was created by us. The movie is based on a 3D-Model.

    Bernd,

It's nice to see you back on YF. It's been too long!

I am unable to view the movie. Possibly it's my settings, but maybe the ThyssenKrupp server? Just letting you know...

It's working for me Carl, but without sound. (Is there supposed to be any sound?) Do you have the latest version of Quicktime?

    Kevin,
From our side there was no soundtrack. So I think the movie is without sound.

The movie runs without any problems on my computer via DSL and MicroSoft Internet Explorer.
