  1. Bloemsma Van Breemen Yachts

The origins of Bloemsma Van Breemen can be traced back to 1974, when customized hulls were built under the name Jachtwerf Bloemsma of Makkum. The company built a total of 136 complete hulls in steel and aluminum, as well as constructing superstructures for other yacht builders. In 1997, Nico van Breemen’s technical installation company took over the operations and the experienced workforce. The renamed Bloemsma Van Breemen yard has since focused on building complete yachts, while continuing to offer aluminum work on a sub-contractual basis.

The yard has constructed six classic Hoek Design sailing yachts, including the 80’ Mulligan and 74’ Copihue. The latter just returned to the yard after a three-year world cruise, and has successfully clocked up over 100,000 miles at sea. Bloemsma Van Breemen has also built four very different customized yachts: the 60’ Vripack Doggersbank motoryacht Trewes, the 59’ Beeldsnijder motoryacht Maskot, the 82’ Hoek racer/cruiser sailing yacht Bharlin Blue, and the 96’ Vripack Doggersbank Offshore motoryacht Patriot.

Since 2000, the yard’s capacity has been extended with two new building halls. They have heated floors and offer the capacity to build yachts of up to 65 meters in length. Today, the total yard area is 20.000 square meters, including 5500 square meters of construction sheds. The latest technology and indoor environmental techniques are deployed to ensure a high level of building quality. Two contrasting designs are currently under construction in one of the new halls: A 90’ classic De Vries Lentsch Design motoryacht and a modern 157’ displacement motoryacht by Reymond Langton Design. The largest super yacht launched to date is the 48 meter “Flying Eagle”.
