It doesn't matter who did the study, the limitation is intrinsic to the type of testing. It indicates that the number of infections could be that high, but it absolutely does not show that "millions have been infected."

Actually it could be as high as 221k

“we are 95% certain that the true amount of infection lies between 4.4% and 7.9% of the population, or between 123,000 and 221,000 residents”

Yes extrapolating data from a sample can lead to errors but this is no the first study yielding similar results.

There's still a bunch of boats stacked up that NEED to go over there. Foreign flagged vessels that need to renew cruising permits. I have a DE registered vessel that needs to get out of FL and Bimini is a heck of a lot closer than GA. etc.

But, Bahamas is taking a HUGE financial hit between the lock down and subsequent lack of cruise ship business...….but no different than 2009 recession.

A lot different than 2009. There was a dip in tourism but still many boats over there on 08/09. Right now there is zero income coming in. Nothing

then they have a broke government which couldnt even afford to rebuild the Abacos and GB before the Chinese pandemic and couldn’t barely feed all the unemployed who had fled their destroyed communities.

The government has to weigh loss of lives vs. economy. They lack the medical facilities to handle a large number of Covid 19 cases. That requires them to take more strenuous steps. Better to err on the side of caution and in the interest of saving lives.
