    ... with a little help from bow and stern tugs to make a 180 degree bend down Ft. Lauderdale's New River. Traffic halted on both ends to give ample berth. This turn is known as the Florida peninsula, as the property at the bend resembles the state of Florida. It's not an easy turn to make for any size boat, none-the-less... the Anson Bell. Here are two (or is that tow) pictures...

    Turn completed. If you look carefully, you can see the aft tug facing the opposing direction as the stern comes around the bend.
