   While colors didnt match but started ticking when key turned on...turn off when key went off...I am good and fortunate... thank you

   You don't want this. You want the hour meters running only when the engines are running. Run the ground to a NO 2 or 5 psi oil pressure switch so that the hour meters are running only when the engines are.
