Another new Amels is in the works this time it is one of the new 60-meter designs with a delivery timeframe by Autumn 2022. The exterior design is by Espen Oeino while the interior is being facilitated by the owner at this stage. The name of this Amels 60 is Project 'Witchcraft' with GT of 830 and capacity for twelve guests. Top speed will be 15.5-knots and have a range at 13-knots of 4,500 nautical miles.
@maritimephoto Wim can you shed some light on the new Amels 6001 that recently was towed from Poland to The Netherlands for Amels to finish. I am bit bit confused as to which yacht is which. This thread is about Project 'Witchcraft' which is due to complete third quarter of 2022 but Amels 6001 is due to complete Spring 2022. These are two different vessels?
WITCHCRAFT seems to be the second 6002 which arrived 09-07-2021 from Poland, she entered the covered building location 16/07/2021.
The second Amels 60 hull has been launched. Built as what we came to know as Project 'Witchcraft', the vessel has now exited the shed. You will easily notice that the owner seemed not to like the triangular shapes of the main deck windows and changed those to more ordinary windows. "Watching Witchcraft head outside for the first time signifies everything the team has achieved since she arrived here in Vlissingen last July. And by team, I mean everyone involved in making this milestone happen – the Damen Yachting team, the owner's team and all our co-workers. It's down to the great collaboration between all of these parties that we are standing here admiring this stunning new 60-metee in the daylight and open air. I am looking forward to the final outfitting phase now and getting her out on the water!", said Damen Yachting Project Manager Arie Midavaine.
I wonder if this yacht is the replacement for the 2014-built Admiral of the same name and colour styling.
