We will have to agree to disagree on that one. I have run naturals with 60,70 and now 80 injectors, and while the differance at speed was noticable, I never noticed any differance at lower speeds either in preformance or smoke.
They inject a smaller amount of fuel over a longer period (mechanical injection) and the rapid reduction in fuel velocity through the spray hole is why the spray pattern is distorted.
I don't think were talking big exotic injectors here. Help me out on my theory assuming N60 to N90; The small N injectors use the same timing (1.460) height. The rocker & external plunger travels the same distance & speed. The chamber in the injector is larger in diameter. The rack (governor controlled) manages the same load & rpm, making the same power. The only difference is the internal plunger delivers the same fuel faster & complete transmission a tad quicker? Same volume, wider bore, less stroke, less time for delivery? Or, am I bass ackwards somewhere?
