does anybody know why the rcl95 put out more candella (2 times) than the rcl 100 but is much cheaper in price... i have looked at the spec sheet for the two lights and cant figure out why it would be cheaper. more led's, more candella, and about the same distance. i was recommended the rcl 100 for my 58yf but the rcl 95 seems to be a better light and at a much lower price..

The beam and light scatter separate these two models. Any bright light can illuminate the world. If you want to see the world, the light has to stay narrow and not scatter and blind you.
Like the difference between a flood and spot light.

I am still certain the performance of the 100 is way better.
The difference between the incandescent 100 and the 100LED, that I just installed, is a good improvement. Even less scatter.
I have compared these side by side.
In my past, the other incandescent lights blinded me, pointed straight away from the boat. Never had a problem with either 100. Just a better beam & no scatter.

You mention 7 & 8 degree specs, Fine.
The 100 LED specs; 7° vertical, 7° horizontal.
    The 95 LED specs; Spot / 8°

    What does Spot/8° mean????
    Nothing to me..

I try to help and mention my experience.
Again, same mfg, difference in price. Must mean something, ya think??
